I can't decide if this is a guilty pleasure or just something I straight-up like yet. I know all the music purists out there are over dubstep already, especially the wobble-wobble kind, but I can't help but love this song. It's made perfectly for the UK charts, and probably won't make any kind of impact in America at all, but whatever. Katy B following in the footsteps of UK electronic MCs like Craig David, Ms Dynamite, etc? Maybe.

I first heard of Actress through one of my favorite current UK electronic musicians, Zomby. Actress is the head of Werk Discs, the label that put out Zomby's fantastic Where Were U In '92 album, and so of course I had to check out Actress's music as well. As you would expect from someone who puts out Zomby and other like-minded musicians, Actress has the kind of 'post-dubstep' (hate that term?), experimental electronic music which brings together a handful of electronic subgenres.

His new album Splazsh came out earlier this year and I finally got around to listening to it recently. It's his most accessible and best release to date, and I'd recommend you picking it up if you can. Grab one song below.

Contest: LCD Soundsystem

Today marks the release day for LCD Soundsystem's new album This Is Happening. Considering the fact that James Murphy is pretty much indie royalty now and this album has gotten crazy amounts of hype, there is nothing much I can say or do to really help or hinder the album. However, that's not to say that I don't want to still celebrate the release of the album, by giving away a limited edition LCD poster (below) and a copy of the CD.
