CMJ is just around the corner (10/16 - 10/20) and, like every year, the laundry list of bands playing is crazy. I'll be this year and we at IAMSOUND Records will be throwing a showcase with Magnum PR, our PR company, as well as Dim Mak Records. IAMSOUND artists playing will be Cut Off Your Hands, who I posted about last week and a DJ set from The Black Ghosts, whose EP we'll be releasing on 10/30. Other artists include HSB favorites Oh No! Oh My!, The Deadly Syndrome, and Connan and the Mockasins, the band I posted about a couple of weeks ago. This will be their first show in the US ever.
Besides those awesome bands, there will also be DJ sets from Blake Miller of Moving Units, Le Castle Vania and David E. Sugar, who I posted about recently. And the best part? This showcase is completely FREE and open to the public, although it is 21+. There will be a floor for bands and a floor for DJs. Come and say hi if you see me there. Cut Off Your Hands and Black Ghosts will also be playing another number of parties who I'll be posting about later this week.
