Vagrant Records is an interesting label - it has Hot Topic staples like Saves The Day, The Bled, Dashboard Confessional, The Get Up Kids and others, but it also has Urban Outfitters (which, in all honesty, is the Hot Topic of the indie world) staples like The Hold Steady, The Futureheads and French Kicks. Well, now you can add another band to that roster which, to me at least, is sort of in between those two worlds: Murder By Death. The band can blend alt-country with punk and makes liberal use of the concept album, doing it well enough to have Vagrant sign the band.
They're releasing their fourth album Red Of Tooth And Claw, produced by Trina Shoemaker (Iggy Pop, Queens of the Stone Age), in spring of next year.
