Well, you guys all knew it was coming - figured I might as well post it for everyone to see my list. Panda Bear wins this year on the basis that besides being a simple beautiful album, it has a surprising amount of staying power, being an album that I can listen to on a very regular basis and with still the same amount of appreciation each time, which is something to be said in our currently fickle world of independent music. Taken By Trees has to be the most criminally underrated album of the year, coming in at my #2. It is barely registering on any other lists, it seems, yet the solo album by ex-Concretes singer Victoria Bergsman is simply a work of genius. The rest of the list simply file in line after those two.
