Although this is obviously a music website, it's always fun to include some other content on here sometimes, so when I was offered some tickets to giveaway for Lucha VaVoom, I kind of couldn't pass it up! What the hell is Lucha VaVoom you ask? Well it's only just a spectacle of Mexican wrestlers and burlesque striptease coming into town next week. It makes me a bit sad that I'll be in New York all of next week and so will be missing this show.
Just read this synopsis provided by them to understand how sweet this sounds: "What could be more romantic the the Lucha VaVOOM debut of Mexican Wrestling superstar Ultimo Guerrero? The triumphant return of pogo-stick sensation Roky Roulette? How about the dancing men of Sashay Gigante? Sashay Gigante features Jim Turner (Arliss) Toby Huss (Rescue Dawn) Craig Anton (Dragon Wars) and many other talented men not known for their dancing skills. Also back by popular demand: Prom pictures to commemorate this very special evening. "
No, really. The show is in town next week on February 12th, 13th, and 14th at the Mayan Theater in downtown LA and tickets are $30-60, so thank god that I'm giving away a couple of pairs of tickets, right? To win tickets to any of the three shows show, email me at paul@hatesomethingbeautiful.com with the subject line "LUCHA VAVOOM" and tell me what your favorite Mexican export is, along with which of the three shows you'd want to go to. I'll pick two winners by the end of this week and you can enjoy some Mexican wrestling spectacularness. Contest is over, sorry!
