NewVillager are a duo from across the lands - one is from California, the other New York, that create some of the most interesting music to come from this side of the Atlantic in a while. I admit that, lately, my music tastes have centered around London, Sweden, and other places of that sort; few acts out of America seem to be able to keep up with the new sound representing pop music in 2009, aside from acts such as Telepathe, Salem, etc. That's why it's refreshing to find an act from America like NewVillager, who I'm sure will soon be the darling new act of bloggers/music elitists everywhere. Their debut 7" for "Rich Doors" is out now.

That doesn't mean, however, that I'm abandoning music from across the ocean. The latest song that I've been playing constantly is TC's "Where's My Money?" It's...a little out of left-field, as TC is a drum-and-base DJ/producer from Bristol, UK, and you should keep an open mind and ear when you listen to this. Perhaps this is something that only people in the music industry will find amusing (listen to the answering machine message that is sampled throughout the song), but it's been playing in the IAMSOUND office almost on a daily basis as a pick-me-up and a way to inject some energy and I thought I'd share.
