Theoretically, if I stuck to my "one More Music Monday post a week" schedule like I had originally envisioned this, then I would have started doing these posts a year ago. However, it's definitely been at least a couple of years, since some weeks there just aren't new bands, some weeks I'm busy, and just some weeks, to be honest, I don't feel like writing a post. HSB is a temperamental blog.

With most of the new electronic scene dominated by Europeans at least the past few years, it's always nice to see some innovative and intriguing electronica coming from our shores, especially a city as unexpected as St. Louis. Known more for Nelly in the past 10 years than anything remotely electronic, St. Louis has now given us producer Phaseone, up until now has really only been known for his remixes of Burial, Panda Bear, Bloc Party and a few others. His original material is just as strong as his remixes though (look out soon for a remix of IAMSOUND artist Fool's Gold), and the best part is that he is giving his away his debut album Thanks But No Thanks for the amazing price of free.
