Ok to follow up on my post a while back about a cover of a remix and a remix of a cover, here is a post even further exploring the world of sampling, remixing and covering, if it's to be believed 100%. This is a cover by Solange Knowles covering "Stillness Is The Move" by Dirty Projectors which "samples a remix of an Erykah Badu song which sampled a Dr Dre song which sampled a song by Soul Mann & The Brothers which was a cover of an Issac Hayes song."
I got that from Stereogum commentors; it sounds about right to me, and I love how complicated it is, so you can thank Marko after your headache is gone.
Oh and this is actually an amazing cover too.
