Kids like Tiny Masters of Today make me sad that I never learned how to play music as a kid - TMT consists of a brother-sister duo (12 and 10 years old, respectively) and those little buggers just signed to Mute Records. Well, howddya like that? These kids have done more than ten thousand other bands and neither have even reached puberty yet. How many other bands can get the likes of Karen O and Nick Zinner as well as a bevy of other special guests (including Kimya Dawson of The Moldy Peaches!!) on their debut album? Bang Bang Boom Cake will be released by Mute on August 6th.
This garage rock is better than so much music out there today. I want to adopt these kids. Plus, they have a song called "Stickin' It to the Man," as seen below - there's nothing more punk rock and awesome than that. Call me a fanboy if you want.
