The initial lineup for the third annual Vegoose Festival in Las Vegas has been announced. The festival, who will be headlined by Daft Punk and Rage Against The Machine, takes place on October 27th and 28th at Sam Boyd Stadium. Tickets are a bit expensive ($146 for two days and $79 for one day), but the line-up isn't that bad. Besides, it's an excuse to blow all of your money in Vegas for a weekend. Besides the normal festival, however, there will also be "Vegoose At Night," a series of separately ticketed (you have to buy them in addition to normal tickets, basically) performances by The Shins, Thievery Corporation and more.
Now, there isn't that much that would normally separate this festival from a million other music festivals out there right now, but then I realized, what the hell am I talking about - Daft Punk is headlining. After seeing their absolutely amazing show this past Saturday at the Sports Arena (best show of the year so far, hands down), I would be more than willing to drive four hours to see them again. Besides Daft Punk, however, there are acts such as Iggy And The Stooges (performing all of Fun House), Public Enemy, Blonde Redhead, Gogol Bordello, Ghostland Observatory, Battles and more. Two-day tickets go on sale this Saturday at 10 AM at vegoose.com, one-day tickets on August 18th.
